The Lord Will Provide

January 10, 2018

By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.  Exodus 13:21 NIV

Jehovah Jireh – the Lord will provide.

His Name is a promise.

A promise for provision.

Rain in the desert.

Sacrifice on the mountain.

Comfort in the garden.

Jehovah Jireh.

The Lord provides.

Does your soul cry out?

Eyes ache to behold?

A heart hungry for more?

Come to the well.

The Lord provides.

He never stops giving.

Grace.

Mercy.

Love.

Lambs.

Trust the promise.

Trust the provision.

Early morning hike.

Father looks over, sees the son he loves.

Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

Abraham answered, “God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
Genesis 22:7-8

Thousands of years later, on the same mountain, another Father brings His Son.

Provides the lamb.

The lamb that provides.

Redemption.

Ransom.

Restoration.

Salvation.

When crisis comes and problems persist, I withdraw and search myself for answers.

The Father reminds – remember the Manna?

The fishes?

The loaves?

The Lamb?

He faithfully provides a way where there is no way. Click To Tweet

He restores hearts and mends lives.

He recovers what locusts ate away.

He parts seas and moves mountains.

Our God, Jehovah Jireh, provides.

He promises to never leave me.

His answer is always love.

He makes music out of mess.

There’s nothing beyond His reach or restoration.

He never changes or looks away.

He provides then, now, always.

It’s His Name.

It’s His promise.

Jehovah Jireh.

    1. These words reminds me of one of my favorite verse Exodus 14:14 God will fight for you. Jesus name is a promise and when I cry out he tells me to come to well and he provides all my needs! So thankful for his Mercy, his Grace, and Big Love! Thank you my sweet sister friend of these truths and sharing them.❤️

      1. Amen! What a great comment – I love that verse in Exodus too. Thank you for your friendship, love and support ❤️❤️ You are a blessing!
