Be Still

April 18, 2018

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Psalm 37:7 ESV

It feels like nothing’s happening.

I pray and wait.

He fights for me.

His plans and timing are perfect.

I wait in anticipation and silence.

I wait and wonder.

He works.

He says don’t worry, I’ve got this.

I ask, “Are you there?”

“Have you forgotten me?”

I want answers and action.

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. Exodus 14:14 ESV

He says, trust My timing.

I am your refuge and fortress.

I deliver you from snares and deadly pestilence.

I cover you.

Under My wings there is refuge.

My faithfulness is your shield – you need not fear.

Quietness and trust are strength.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 ESV

He is my portion – all I need.

I rejoice in hope.

I attempt patience through trial, consistency in prayer.

I am pressed but not crushed.

Perplexed without despair.

I will not be shaken.

To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides Him. Deuteronomy 4:35 ESV

His Word renews my mind and helps discern His will.

He renews my strength.

I run but don’t grow weary.

I trust in perfect timing – timing that activates reaping and sowing, speaking and silence.

There is no God like my God.

He commands the wind and water and rules the raging sea.

He gives courage and strength.

My troubles are light and momentary.

I can trust Him with the wait.

I can be still and know He is God.

    1. 15 For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel has said this,

“In returning [to Me] and rest you shall be saved,
In quietness and confident trust is your strength.”
      But you were not willing,
He has been pounding this into my life all year………..
