Beauty for Ashes

April 1, 2020

Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me; Lord, be my help. You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise You forever.  Psalm 30:11-12

He comforts all who mourn.

Provides for the grief stricken.

A crown of beauty and a garment of praise.

Beauty for ashes.

Despair no more.

The Lord’s splendor displayed.

Righteousness revealed.

Ancient ruins rebuilt.

Devastated places restored.

No mountain too big, no valley too wide.

Everything is possible with God.

Instead of shame, a double portion.

Inheritance replaces disgrace.

Everlasting joy.

The Lord our God is faithful.

Souls rejoice.

He clothes His children in garments of salvation.

Robes of righteousness.

Former things forgotten.

Dwell on the past no more.

He makes all things new.

The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love.

He does not treat me as my sins deserve.

In compassion, He casts them into the depths of the sea.

He makes a way in the wilderness.

Streams in the wasteland.

Paths through mighty waters.

The Lord fights for me; I need only to be still.

Be still and know He is God.

Be still and know He is.

Be still and know.

Be still.

Proclaim His praise.

Father God, Lord Jesus, Thank you for Your promises. Your promise to prosper and not harm me. Your promise to work all things for good for the sake of those who love You. Your promise to make all things new. When life becomes confusing, heartbreaking and hard, I can trust You; Your Word is true – You never lie. Thank you for what You endured and accomplished on the cross. For paying my sin debt – a debt I could never pay. Help me rely on You and trust You in every circumstance. Help me to walk in faith and not fear. Help me live courageously in the freedom You died to provide and share the truth of who You are with the world. I love you, Father God, Lord Jesus…In Your precious, Holy, matchless Name, Amen.
