Hope on a Hill

May 1, 2019

As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

This world is passing away along with its desires.

Trials and temporary trouble.

Hardship and loss.

Worldly treasure.

Citizen of Heaven, fear not.

Promised is a better country, a new Heaven and earth.

A city designed and built by God.

Righteousness dwells there.

Death, crying and pain are no more.

Every tear wiped away.

Holy city.

New Jerusalem.

Adorned bride.

Place prepared.

House of many rooms.

The Lord our God never leaves or forsakes.

Faith is confidence in unseen things.

No condemnation in Christ Jesus.

Law of love.

Live by His Spirit.

Spirit of truth.

Spirit of hope.

Spirit of love.

God’s kingdom is not of this world.

Let my heart not be troubled.

Book of life.

Washing Water renews.

By His stripes I am healed.

No eye can see.

No ear hear.

No heart imagine.

God’s perfectly prepared place.

Tree of life.

Night no more.

Glory of God.

Twelve pearl gates.

Walls of Jasper.

River of life, bright as crystal.

Pure gold city, clear as glass.

God’s dwelling place now with man.

Former things pass away – everything made new.

Grass withers and flowers fade.

The Word of God stands.

Ask and receive.

Seek and find.

Unconditional love.

Love that gives, breaks, bleeds.

Love that never fails.

Amazing grace.

Saving faith.

Gift of God.

Hope on a hill.

City to come.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Father God, Lord Jesus, Thank you for Your Word that gives everything I need to live by faith. I choose to fix my eyes on You and what’s eternal. Help me to know and love You better. Show me what I need to give up – anything creating a barrier to You. Thank you for Your promises and assurances that Heaven is real and this world isn’t all there is. You are good. Thank you for your hope and future. Thank you I can trust what You say is true. I give You my life and press into all You have – both good and hardship. You are worthy and worth everything I have to give. Thank You for loving me. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear what You would say to me. Give me the mind of Christ and let my life glorify and honor You. In Your Precious, Holy,

      1. Hi Nancy! Glory to God…humbled He uses this imperfect person who messes up and gets it so wrong. How encouraging that the only limit to serving God is how far I’m willing to go. He is so good. Thank you for your friendship and the blessing of your love and support. Love you my friend.

    1. What a wonderful place Heaven will be for us. All difficulty and heartache will soon pass. But thank you also for your prayer pointing us back to our responsibilities on earth in the meantime. I especially like the first line of your prayer: “Thank you for Your Word that gives everything I need to live by faith.” Everything we need. That’s very profound.

      1. Hi my friend! Yesss! God is so good – our faithful provider. So often I find myself asking things He’s already told me in His Word. I’m learning part of living by faith is believing and walking in the promises of His Word. So blessed He connected us – your writing and character inspire me.

      1. Hi Melissa! Thank you so much! You bless me sister. ❤️ Glory to God always.
