How Long?

March 7, 2018

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will You hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death, and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall. But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me. Psalm 13 NIV

How long must I wait Lord?

Will you forever forget me?

The journey is long. I can’t see light.

Where are you?

I feel alone and my heart is full of sorrow.

I’m starting to lose hope.

I’ve prayed and trusted you faithfully – nothing is changing.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 NIV

Morning is coming.

You promise a new day – You never lie.

I praise you as life giver, Savior, Redeemer.

You hold all things together.

Light shines brightest in dark places. Click To Tweet

I trust Your unfailing love.

You provide a way when there seems to be no way.

Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.

Though others forsake me, You never will.

You hold me up with Your righteous, right Hand.

You are faithful, secure.

You promise hope and a future.

You provide manna in the desert.

I trust in your unfailing love and turn uncertainty back to praise.

My heart rejoices in Your salvation.

In this life, I will have trouble.

When I place my hope in You Lord, my strength is renewed.

I soar on wings like eagles.

I shed fear and discouragement.

I am strong and courageous because you God are with me.

But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

2 Chronicles 15:7 NIV
