My Shield

October 3, 2018

But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. Psalm 3:3

I call out to the Lord and He answers me from His Holy mountain.

If God is for me, who can be against me?

I am pressed but not crushed.

Persecuted but not abandoned.

Struck down but not destroyed.

Clothed with power from on high.

God’s child.

Christ’s friend.

United with the Lord.

Salt and light.

Free from condemnation.

Citizen of Heaven.

Minister of reconciliation.

Established, anointed and sealed by God.

A branch of the true vine.

Once lost, now found.

Created for good works planned in advance.

God’s temple.

Redeemed and forgiven.

In Christ, I am a new creation.

Filled with the fullness of God – a clay jar containing treasure

The Lord sustains me, provides.

I trust in praise and prayer.

He is worthy.

Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords.

Savior, Redeemer – He calls me friend.

He enables me to do all things.

Comforts and lifts up the downtrodden.

Casts the wicked to the ground.

The Lord takes pleasure in those who hope in His steadfast love.

I need not fear for He is with me.

He makes my paths straight.

Makes a way where there is no way.

Provides streams in desert wasteland.

Leads me beside still waters.

Restores my soul.
