Peace that Prepares

December 6, 2017

And through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in Heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1:20 NIV

Peace.

Peace with God comes through the trail of His blood – the One who came long ago.

Came as a baby in a barn.

Came to die.

Peace with a price.

A baby with a God sized mission – to rescue and restore humanity.

He came as a human to live the life I can never live and die the death I deserve.

The price of peace is the Prince of Peace. Click To Tweet

Peace with purpose.

Peace that restores.

Peace that cannot be undone.

Mercy Mild.

Come Lord Jesus, Come.

His peace comes with a sword, breaks chains, defeats death.

It is not a passive peace – it passes understanding.

I pray I focus on more than to-do lists.

I pray I remember the One who came.

Let me never forget the sacrifice of a blood drenched peace.

Be present for the present.

Jesus was busy but never hurried.

My rush and hurry crowd out peace because love is the heart of peace.

Love always takes time and the sacrifice of inconvenience.

Slow down, breathe.

Reach, bend, hug, love.

Remember.

His peace fills me, prepares me.

Come Lord Jesus, Come.

For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
