Perfect Peace

October 10, 2018

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3

Trust in the Lord the eternal Rock – the rock that never moves.

He levels and makes paths straight.

As I seek and trust, He fills me with His peace.

Peace that passes understanding.

Peace that cannot be shaken.

I will believe and not be anxious.

The Lord God is my strength and song.

He is my salvation.

Turn from evil and do good.

Pursue peace.

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7

No works required – God is a generous, gift giver.

He fills and overflows my cup:

• Love

• Joy

• Peace

• Patience

• Kindness

• Goodness

• Faithfulness

Fruit grows as the Spirit takes root.

He grows the fruit not me.

The mindset of flesh is death.

Jesus gives life and peace.

I must practice what He teaches me…

• Forgive as I’ve been forgiven.

• Feed my enemies.

• Share with those in need.

• Love God, love others with sacrifice and service.

Give what I’ve been given.

Mountains may shake and fall but the Lord’s steadfast love never moves.

Peace isn’t passive.

It guards my heart and mind.

Fills and fulfills.

Gives grace.

Strengthens and upholds.

Restores and redeems.

Trumps fear.

It brings the kingdom from up there to down here.

God’s kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy.

God’s way vs. mine.

I need not repay evil with evil but overcome instead with good.

Unity of Spirit bonded through peace.

My flesh may fail, but God is the strength of my heart.

Let that heart not be troubled.

Love producing peace drives out fear.

Chains of condemnation no more.

Bread of life, Son of Man.

Love came down.

Lost found.

Heart sealed.

Power of peace.

Death no more.
